Super king is one of my favorite places to eat at when I'm in hammond. It's quick & easy, with solid seafood options.
Crawfish was juicy and had great flavor and spice. Shrimp was just as good but some of them the shell was sticking to it as if it had gotten slightly overcooked. This is a togo place only. Keep that in mind. We ate at the park down the road.
Wow! Great customer service when you order your tasty food carry out only! Convenient parking lot in front and so much to choose from drinks to food! All types of liquor and snacks! All their cooked food is full of flavor and the meats are juicy, not dry, especially their fried chicken tenders and turkey wings! I love their fresh crab with cajun shrimp! The turkey neck meat is so tasty with good spices marinated in the meat! The turkey wing had great cajun flavor on the crispy skin and meat was moist! The gumbo with rice had great kick to it just right! My favorite was the boudin links with crawfish that was full of flavor! The hot wings I couldn't get enough of that was so crispy outside and juicy inside! The fried fish and shrimp was a good portion and not small that was so crispy outside and moist inside! I would get this again and again as the value and quality of the food is top notch for the price! I love the party platters as they are a better deal for the quality of the food! Great value for the tasty shrimp fried rice lunch plate! Also love their crawfish during the season when they have them as it has great seasoning marinated in it!
LOVE me some gumbo and shrimp fried rice from here. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Their chicken wings stay crunchy for a while and it's actually big wings. I recommend everything on the menu really. Flavor stays on point here.
Foods goodddd but idk what's wrong with the lady that serves the seafood. Idk if that lady is the owner or cousin of the owner or what but she's rude. She honestly doesn't care that your a CUSTOMER at HER store. She literally won't say hello or anything, and she speaks english clearly!! She will legit stare at you until you say something.
MY GO TO CRAWFISH IN HAMMOND. It has the perfect amount of spice and depth of flavor. They get crowded on fridays during lent but I will always wait. Love the boiled corn. It holds the spice the best. They have d&d sausage so so so good. My boyfriend got the fried catfish plate with fried rice. He had 7 or 8 catfish tenders and a good bit of yummy fried rice!
For anyone passing through Louisiana. You MUST MUST stop by here for their Cajun food. On my way home to Houston and found this amazing place! Where do I even begin? Fried foods: Fried pickles and fried oysters ( the way to eat it- put a slab of their amazing home made tartar sauce with a sliced pickle on top!) Boiled foods: boiled potatoes,corn,mushrooms,sausage, can't go wrong with it... Last but not least!!!! The boiled TURKEY NECKS and CAJUN STYLE CRAWFISH!!! Hands down- the best authentic Cajun LA style. The crawfish was purged well; flavor in the tail and the head! You can taste all the juiciness sucking on the head and tails! Yep, I said it! It's amazing. The chicken and shrimp gumbo!!! WOW! I had to get it to go on the road trip home! Price is so so reasonable- I wish they opened a place like this in Houston!!! The whole entire staff is so amazing and friendly!
Great family owned seafood restaurant. I was glad to find this while in Hammond from Dallas. Big assortment of cold drinks and grocery items too. 5 stars for the fried catfish, shrimp and gumbo. Grab a beer while you're here! I can't wait to come back when it's crawfish season. Oh the boiled crabs were amazing! (pic attached)
Super king is great and everyone knows they have some of the cheapest prices for crawfish. Their crawfish is a little different. It has a kick and is done with Asian spices. Good stop for boiled crabs too. They have daily lunch specials and it's a favorite place to go for a nice spread of food. They have solid fried rice, and regulars know you can get chicken and shrimp lo mein. In addition to egg rolls, they serve delicious hot wings (not Buffalo), turkey wings and turkey neck that is boiled with Asian season and tender. Wash it down with a big shot!
